How To Stop Mobile Games Draining Your Battery
The single biggest battery saver is lowering the frame rate cap. A lot of games default to sixty frames even when thirty would look fine, and halving that can add meaningful time to a session. Check the graphics menu first.
Brightness matters more than people think. Dropping from full to around seventy percent is barely noticeable indoors and genuinely helps. Turning off adaptive brightness stops the screen from spiking when you tilt the phone.
Particle and shadow effects are the next place to look. Racing games and RPGs especially push the GPU hard, which drains the battery and heats the phone. If a game offers a 'medium' preset, start there and only go up if it looks rough.
Finally, close background apps and switch off haptics if you don't care about them. Rumble on every tap adds up over an hour. None of this is dramatic on its own, but stacked together you can easily get an extra half hour out of a demanding game.
