About
Thumbstick Weekly started as a group chat where a few of us kept arguing about which phone games were actually worth the storage space. At some point we figured we might as well write it all down, so here we are.
We are a small editorial team. Nobody on staff works for a publisher, and we buy or download the games ourselves. When something runs hot, stutters, or eats the battery in twenty minutes, we say so.
Games end up in our catalogue for one reason: someone on the team spent real hours with them. We don't cover a title after a five-minute trailer. We play through enough to form an opinion, test it on at least two phones, and note how it behaves on weaker hardware.
Recently we spent a week with Legends of Slots, poking at its controls and settings to see how it holds up. That kind of hands-on time is the whole point of the site.
Klara Meinhardt — Klara has been editing games coverage for over a decade and still keeps three ageing phones on her desk just to test low-end performance.
